Interesting, I haven't yet been asked for my ID yet, but as some of you know I'm deaf. One time a salesperson asked me if I needed help or something like that. (I can lipread), I just stared at him, made him real uncomfortable. It was funny for me. Yup, being deaf has its benenfits, one of those is getting out of speeding tickets.

I can fire somebody on my waitstaff if I find out that they did not card someone even if they do look old enough. We've had customer'* without ID'* come in and get pissed off and leave because of it, but I just have to enforce the company'* rule.

Your telling me they get fired for not carding a 50+ yr old person...wow. I worked on a 70ft sailboat over the last 3 yrs, serving aboard I never carded people unless I could tell the obvious underage. We even had the coveted liqour sales license on sundays in ottawa county, which for those not from around here, it is damn near impossible to the a sunday liqour sales license.

I kinda feel bad tho for this girl I got fired. I was on leave from active duty, and my michigan license happened to be back overseas, since all you need is a military ID and a set of orders, and its just like a normal ID. She wouldnt accept my Military iD for some alcohol at an establishment, and after being in a spot were you couldnt get alcohol for 6 months, I was quite pissed.

I don't know if it'* a local ordinance or not, but it'* illegal to serve alcohol here if you don't see the person'* ID regardless of age. If the person cannot provide identification VIA a driver'* license or state issued personal ID then the person has to provide two other forms of personal identification, such as a military ID school ID, etc.

I'm not sure if I could take a Military ID. But that'* something I'd definatly take to management. I have taken passports....I think.

I'm 28 and get carded by 16 year olds at Best Buy for explicit lyric CD'* I get carded everywhere but that one bothers me the most!
