I get $150 to wash my car!!!
I just found out today that the power plant will pay you $150 everytime you show them proof that your car has fallout/ashes on your car.
I just went to the gate and got my claim form, filled it out, a representative comes and looks at your car and tells you to wash, wax, buff it yourself($150) or have the local detailor do it($250 to the dealer) Then you have to send a paper that they give you back to the state and they send you a check!!!
I'm washing my 2 cars tomarrow and should get a check for $300 in about 2 weeks....

I bet those ashes are real good for your lungs if they are leaving fallout on your car. Do you have to sign something when you get your money. I would check the fine print. Seems they are buying people off.

yes you sign a paper saying that you washed, waxed and buffed your car. Then send it in...
They have been doing this for about a year. They are building a new smoke stack now and should be done by the end of the year. Then they won't have to pay anymore.
The paper I filled out is a accident/incident report from the power plant.
The guy across the street did it 3 times in one week cause of the way the wind was blowing that week. He just got 2 of his three checks each for $300
