Larger Vortec Oil Filter?

Larger Vortec Oil Filter?
Does anyone here know of a larger oil filter for the Series III 5300? If you have seen the size of the OE one...you'd know what I'm getting at.
I tried a 52, and it looked fine, but the outlet hole (center) was too small.
I then looked up the one for the Big block 8100, and to my surprise...it was SMALLER.
This confuses me quite a bit.
So, anyone know?

I have a NAPA (WIX) Gold 4.3L filter I just put on the 99 last week and the filter hangs down 3/8" below the oil pan.... makes me a little uncomfortable.... this is the biggest disadvantage to using the 2000+ oil pan.

Thanks Andrew
Yeah, we're talking about the 5300, I already know about the 52 (for the 5.7 and 4.3 chevys)
I just was checking since some people know this kinda stuff as random information.

I run a 2 qt. filter on my '89 5.7(350) *.b. Camaro.
If you use the same size (o.d.) filter then all you need is a longer one(than stock), right?
I found a filter that is 130mm(a little over 5") long.
The stock filter is 89mm(3 1/2") long.
Is this what you want?

I also found a filter that is 3 3/4" o.d. X 5 9/32" (95.3mm X 134.1mm)
If you can fit the larger filter that is the one i would use.

yeah, apparently the OD is the same from the 46 to the 52..and at first glance, appeared it would work...but it was because of the center screw on being too small on the 52 that i couldn't use it.
the 61? confirmed same size outlet? thats awesome, I'll have to look into that.
just so i know...is there a certain way you find this info? or is it just shared knowledge?
