My writing classes were almost 4-5 years ago now, I took them right after high school.

Nice job, dude! Hope you are able to find a good job with a company that appreciates your strengths. Remember that you might have to settle for something less than ideal for now, and continue the hunt for your dream job in your spare time. Also remember that sometimes it'* all about who you know, not necessarily what you can do
