I'm getting around 2210 spam a week which is over 300 a day. I have added them to the junk mail. I have created so many rules. I have increased my firewall. By doing this I have reduced them to just over 2000 per week. THIS SUCKS........Don't tell me to change my email account and don't tell me to change my name cause I have done that already and am back to the same point again. I get approximately 10 telemarketers trying to sell me stuff every day on my home phone and get 2 spam faxed to my home address and 1 to my cell phone every day..................I want it all to STOP! When will they leave me alone.................???????????????????????????? ?????????????????????

Sounds to me like someone knows your info and is screwing with you.

You can say that again............ya I'm gett'in screwed, and not in the right way. I've done virus checks, spyware clean up. and anything else I can think of. I think I'm gonna get hemeroids soon.

You need to stop giving personal information to pr0n sites.

A few things I do that seem to help with the email spam, but if you really won't change your email adress then you WILL continue to get spam forever. Your address is on the lists and won't be removed. Ever.

1: stop using IE and outlook/outlook express. Switch to Firefox and Thunderbird. If you refuse to give up either one, stop reading now, theres no point in the rest.

2: Setup IE and outlook with FAKE email address/names (or put in that of someone you don't like.)

3: use your firewall program to block WMP from accessing the internet. You can turn this off for when YOU want to run an update. This will not effect your ability to play files from the internet, it should only stop WMP from going OUT.

4: create an email address at yahoo, hotmail...etc (where-ever) and use that one stricltly for giving out on the web. In fact create two, one for your friends to use. This has the added benefit of if you change ISP, you don't have to let anyone know. I don't give out my real addy to anyone and I might get 50 emails a YEAR on it and most of those are from me - lol.

5: Never reply or try to remove your addyfrom those spam emails, all you do Is confirm its a real email address.

6: Get your name OFF of your friends forwards of forwards of forwards... Make another hotmail account for THOSE friends.

you can keep your email address but when you sign up for something you can put

blahblah@maymybonnie.endjunk.com for the email address, this is useful for two reasons

one is once you get spam from that account, just go to endjunk.com and block it from there, they shut down the fake email account and you wont get any messages sent to it, it also will show you who is selling your email address and you can take the appropriate actions...
for example say you sign up for a service at www.google.com so you use the email address

google@maymybonnie.endjunk.com then you start getting tons of spam, look who it was sent to, if it was sent to that email address, you know who did it.
