Well i was at a party, i was the DD so i didnt drink and what not, around 2 am me and a bunch of friends went to leave, i slipped on a chunk of ice, and banged my hand down on the ground, i realise i really hurt my one finger so i look down, i broke prolly 80% of the nail off!!!! This made me seriously sick to my stomach! I run in the house im like i need a bandaid now!, i started feeling like i was gunna passs out. Well in the bathroom i did, totally collapsed after saying um i feel sick, i woke up right away thinking it was a dream...i then realise umm no it wasnt, i sat there in the bathroom 20 degree wind blowing on me and with a cold cloth on my face, after an hour we left, i now know that me and blood and hurting my self DONT mix!! Man is my finger throbbing now!

Damn that sucks. Hope it isn't serious. I went to a party tonight but I wasn't the DD, the cab driver was...and that'* a whole other crazy story....for another post

Shock has a crazy way of affecting the body. The mind is very powerful when it comes to these things. I once had my foot run over by a 2-ton fork lift. Hurt like hell, took my shoe off and saw a small speck of blood on my sock where the blood had been squeezed out the pores of my big toe....I fainted instantly. I think its a defense measure the brain pulls to keep it from sensory overload.

The finger will heal, chicks dig scars, glory...lasts forever....

Don't discount the possibility of banging your had having something more to do with it than you thought.

Well its been 20 hours and its still throbbing like a SOB! man i wish i never did that!

That'* the fun part about losing a nail. Hurts forever. I know, I've lost a few..

aww poor you. Hope it stops hurting soon. That really really sucks. Girls don't gripe about breaking nails cause of appearance, it'* cause it usually hurts!!! Sorry to hear about that, man.

One thing to think about...if it is still hurting in a day or so, and the swelling is still there, you might want to have it looked at.

One of our agents in SW Ontario hurt his finger during some construction...not too serious, but bad enough that it was hurting. Nothing was cut or anything. Well, three months later he had to have his finger amputated! Seriously! He now knows that he must have damaged something inside the finger, it began an internal infection and the rest is history...as is his finger.

Watch it...and if it is still bad - get it looked at!

BTW...going to Red Deer in about two weeks...can you get rid of that Damn snow for me!
