Default Hurray propane leak!! >-<

So... I woke up at 8am to the sound at my mom screaming at me. I thought it was the usual, that I slept until 12:30 and my mom was livid with me, but yeah, our carbon monoxide detector went off. 50 ppm in the house, but 1000 ppm in our addition

So yeah, we're ok, and thank God too... They said that if someone was in the addition for more than an hour, he'd be dead. Not only that, but if we didn't have the Radon system, I'd be dead

hehehe, the gas company is gonna LOVE the bill we're about to send them

Man.... That'* pretty serious. Glad everyone made it out okay. A house about 15 miles east of work had a propane leak. The guy hooked his furnace up to the low(liquid) side of the tank when it was supposed to be on the high(gas) side. Flooded the basement with the stuff, and his wife decided to unplug a fan that was running. That little spark made the house disappear, save for some rubble. Blew the windows out of a house that was near(out in the country). A guy that works here lives about 2 miles from where it was and claimed he felt the explosion in his house.

Oh man... That sucks. Yeah, my dad told me not to turn any lights on, because one spark could ignite the whole house... I hate to ask.... but did anyone die? If so, they're in my thoughts tonight...

People really don't realize the dangers of this stuff. I didn't, as I had absolutely no concept of urgency. I even went back to bed after my mother woke me up...

I had a furnace installed in the garage, One night we went out partying got in at 4 am, I didnt have the house keys and decided best not to wake everyone up. I had just finished redoing the carpet in the Impala and thought thats as good of a place as any to sober up. Popped in a DVD and went to sleep an hour later the ADT started going crazy. I woke up to meet the Fire Dept at the door. They hooked me up to oxygen and said that if the ADT had not of gone Off i would have been dead with in the hour. Turns out the furnace installer didnt follow code ( In court Now) and has since had his license pulled.

( I dont forget my keys any more)
