Ones I've seen, they have a rig with hooks that you put through in the back of the "ankle" for the lack of a better term. Then hoist them up.

BTW, most people hang them from the ankles. I makes it easier to, er, well, I'll just leave it at that. It makes it easier. Rest is kinda nasty.
