Flat Out Racing in Nebraska
http://www.sorcrace.com/

Want to drive flat out down a winding country road? Want to solo drag race over a standing mile? Of course, you do - Everyone does; and now you can do all that at the upcoming third annual Sandhill'* Open Road Challenge next August 5th - 7th in Arnold, Nebraska.
You will be reminded of the old days of road racing, with communities welcoming you with lunches and dinners in the park. The entire town turns out to watch the racers parade. The One Mile Shootout, a standing start solo drag race, won last year by a Mallett engined Corvette at over 180 mph, features classes and speed groups for everyone. The Sandhill'* Open Road Race, over 30 miles of country road, a stop for breakfast, and then a 26 mile return run, is a drivers course with three mile straightaways and enough corners to keep even a professional busy. Run like a rally with max speeds of 140 MPH, you get to pick your class, from 80 to 120 mph, depending on driver experience and safety equipment. Averaging closest to the speed you select gets you the win.

Lotsa open space? They also hold events in Vegas. Do a Google for "Open Road Racing". Saw an article in Automobile Mag while at the Doc'* today.
