I've had my Bonne just over a month now, and hubby has (more than once) said "there is a speed limit on this highway."
Last Saturday, about 2 minutes after we hit I-94, he said that again, and I replied,"That'* good, I can show you how well the brakes work."

I set cruise at 72-75 on the 65mph highways and 65-70 on the 55 mph ones. Too many tickets, but luckily insurance hasn't gone up, so I decided to stop tempting fate. On some of the roads to school though I do 65-70 in 40 because the road begs for that. other wise, around town it is the speed limit.

I drive as fast as road conditions and tires will allow.
I use a radar detector to limit road tax.
I only use my cruise control to avoid dropping below a pre-set minimum limit.
I have disabled my electronic speed limiter.
I have had to recalibrate my mechanical speedometer in the Firebird because it was buried so often, I was afraid it might break off the needle.
