yeah, I think if you insisted on us calling you by your full name, you'd just become "hey you!"

I guess if you want to get technical, I have my middle name and the confirmation name I choose...which I guess is part of my name, but I don't know if people include that or not.

I'd be John Louis.

I had a shop class (electronics) in high school. 8 of us in the class, all John. 10 if you count the teacher (Mr John Law)

But, like I said, too late to try and change now....

Bruce Kyle Schwerman here

In response to imminent questions:

Yes, I go by my middle name
No, I still like my first name; I go by my middle name because my dad is also Bruce Schwerman
No, I'm NOT a Junior. His middle name is John

Does that clear things up? Hehe, sorry, used to going over the speil. You'd be amazed how many people can't understand the situation

Hey...I feel your pain. My situation is even worse. The only differentiating factor is the "II" at the end of my name!

I wish so many people weren't so dense; it really isn't THAT hard to understand, is it? Even into high school people couldn't understand the situation. Thank our school system for producing such bright individuals

Well, do take into account that not all of us understand the complexities of being named after someone else, and how that works. The fact that you and your father are both Bruce, would naturally lead most of us to think you were a "Jr." even though you are not.

My neighbor where I grew up didn't have a middle name. From what he says, it caused confusion when taking standardized tests, etc. because the automatic scanners would reject the form because the scanners thought it was incomplete.
