Please pass this information on to every Veteran you know. Nearly 100% of this information is free and available for all veterans, the only catch is: you have to ask for it, because they won't tell you about a specific benefit unless you ask for it.

At least your foot is in the door. Before I left Drum, VA told me to claim EVERYTHING. Even if I got at least a 0% rating, it was at LEAST in the system. Much easier to upgrade something than trying to get something new into the system.

I left Hood with E-6 and a messed up DD214

What was wrong with your DD-214?

For some reason VA has a different ETS date than what is on my 214. Had a hard time verifying identity one day.

If you have documents/orders/awards to prove that you have them/been deployed, then you can submit copies to NPRC and have your 214 amended.
