I plan on a new intake mani and carb setup -which one'* I don't know yet. I want something that will still allow me to do some cruising and get 15mpg -the original 360 was getting me 22 mpg on the freeway.
That'* what the window sticker on 1978 Chrysler Cordoba'* showed for highway mileage so I knew I wasn't doing bad math.
As for the trans, when my cousin swapped the 318 in, he said he checked the tags on the transmission and it'* a heavyduty 727 for the tow package. I'm going to assume it'll last a short while. :( There is only around 120k (I forget how many miles, but I know it'* under 130k since we bought the car with 89k) on the rust free Arizona car/trans and the original owner was a guy who at the time we bought it in 1998 was 67 yo and he said he only used the car for highway trips, and he'd never towed anything (no trailer hitch on the car nor evidence of there ever having been one on the car).
