Sort of fun...nevertheless, it has LOT'* of responsibility and liability...I got a special delegation from the FAA to do such approvals, including approving airplanes prior to flight test. I carry both a company and a FAA badge at work. It is a bit controversial since many times I have to pull the FAA badge and enforce my position, therefore, many times I am not liked by many. Nevertheless, I deal with the safety and making sure the airline customer gets a safe product.
