Don't get me started with video drivers for Linux. I still have a headache from that. It sounds like hardware constraints to me. Is that an old video card? I don't know too much about ATI cards.

on slack 10, I was getting 96dpi font size. On the cholesteral free environment. I don't see the problem there.. but you are correct, red hat does have a lower dpi rating, but since I am passed it, I couldn't tell you what it was, maybe a RH user here can tell us.

drivers are horrible on linux.. i'm still converting windows -> linux code for my hdd controller, so I can have more than 5gb storage on my desktop.
