I just checked into that the other day, something like a 400 dollar installation fee? Or some ridiculous amount like that? Its just not worth it to me. But all I can get is dial up.

I also have the option of satellite through Hughes, or Direct TV, and I can also get wireless internet through Cingular, but its only about 4 times faster than dial up, and also has a considerable upfront cost and ungodly monthly payment.

Its hard to go from paying 9.95 a month for dialup to shelling out 60-70 a month for high speed. Especially after you shell out several hundred dollars upfront.

My cable is 5mb download, 2.5mb upload FTW.

You gotta remember chadow lives in the boonies. Dialup or Hughes. Those are his only choices. No cable, and too far for DSL.
