Seen any Bonnevilles down there, Paul?

Looks like some decent weather for you, unlike here.

No not one Bonne.

The only large cars I see are Mercedes, Porsche and one 300C.

All others are small and manual. They are all crazy drivers here doing 55 mph in town weaving in and out, changing lanes without signalling.

Fuel cost about the same as in Canada if you do the conversion.....about $1.25 a liter.
480 Pesos to the buck.

I carry 20,000, 10,000, 5,000 and 2,000 Peso bills, Coins are 500, 100, 50, 10, 5, and 1 Peso

Six pack of Bud cost 1,500 Pesos
Bottle of wine is 2,000 Pesos
Taxis are 250 Pesos a minute
Bottle of water is 1,000 Pesos
Lunch cost 4,000 Pesos
A Big Mac is 800 Pesos

Black Market vendors line the streets at night........anything you want.......cheap.

Nice pictures!! Now get a pic of one of those LONG busses you talk of.
I am curious how much larger they are than the accordion buses I used to build for New Flyer USA.
Have to say, that country looks beautiful during the day, but do you dare wander out at night as a solo tourist, especially with all the black market vendors?
How is the crime rate as far as thiefs and getting held up at knife or gun point down there? :?

Yes this is a big city like any other with all the normal dangers.
Where I am in the Las Condes North eastern area, it is very safe. All of the Consulates and Government buildings are here.

The buses are the same as your accordian buses but they travel in packs of three or four so appear a lot longer bumper to bumper. Much too large for some of the narrow side streets.

Police presence is everywhere.
I don't go out after midnight.

Hard to tell by looking at jeans and that'* about as close as I'll probably get.

There are a few blondes but it'* easy to tell they are bleached.

.....but I love brunettes.

Thank god for Starbucks, TGI Fridays, Burger King and the California Restaurant. Finally some food I recognise. Ya, they have McDonalds but I won't eat there.....or Burger King for that matter.

Fuel is sold in three grades besides Deisel.......93, 95 and 97 Octane.
