Default Here was my last car before the Bonneville

I was into autocross and I am the parts manager for a Hyundai dealer so I bought a 2002 Elantra to setup for autocrossing.

Here is the list of mods:
19mm rear sway bar
Apex springs
2003 Tiburon struts
Energy Suspension sway bar bushings
2.5 degrees front camber
1.5 degrees rear camber
215/45/16 Falken Azenis tires
16x7 Motegi wheels
Hawk front pads
Slotted and cryotreated front rotors
Strut bar
CAI
Bored intake manifold
Phenolic intake gasket
Test pipe in place of cat
Catback exhaust
Battery in spare tire well

I was able to get 130 sae whp and 133 sae ft-lbs or torque
Here is the dyno sheet

It was a great handling car but I really could not deal with the low bottom end torque. The best I could manage at the 1/4 mile was 16.1 at 87mph. Not too bad but it is just not the same feeling you get from a 3.8L from a stop. I don't think I will ever be able to go back to a 4cyl car unless gas gets really expensive. Even then it would be tough to convince me to go back.

It was a couple years ago but I know it was street prepared. Limited slip dif was the next major upgrade but I decided not to bother and sold the car after returning it to stock.

my old car was originally going to be an auto x car but i was too lazy to play with the brakes and suspension. i lost control and just missed an 85+ mph collision with a wall at a road course and i quit on the spot.

You don't really need to fiddle with anything to run auto-x. Granted you'll be better with some fiddling, but bone stockers work as well
SSsuperchargedEi,
Was that by chance at Beaver Run?
