If it was originally painted in the factory in Ausie land, then it would probably be near impossible to match the colour using American paints.

Think about the implications for future touch-ups or fender benders.

totally false.. no matter where the car was painted the color can still be matched here..

this is a case ot the car being Damaged (test drive, lot damage, or freight damage) and and EXTREAMLY bad paint match on the repaint.. I can tell you with 99% certanty, that that car now has a matching bumper.

It just blows my mind that the dealer would take and post those pic'* befor the car got its repaint... I know at my shop if Me or the other paiter have a color 1/4 that bad we have to repaint it, befor the car gets put back together.

P.*., Hans. GM is not going out of bussness

Thanks for correcting me on that Peter. I was waiting for you to speak up.

So even the new water based paints will match with older laquer or acrylic paints :?:

My dad bought a new Silver Impala a couple years ago, and the rear passenger door was the same way, a little darker than the rest of the car. Makes me wonder what happened to it :? . I think he finally got it repainted.
