Default I go on vacation and....

Where to begin...ah, maybe the beginning.

Sorry I haven't been on in a bit, I've been to Tennessee spending time with the folks while my son is here...he leaves next week to go back to Iowa, the land of nothing

Anyways, I left my bankcard w/my live-in girlfriend and told her she could get gas and food while I was gone but nothing else, since we were moving to Orlando the next week and we needed money for deposits and such. I then have my Bonneville towed to a local shop where the guy I payed with sound system equipment was to put in my new crankshaft and promised to have it ready by the time I return. So, with all that said I go home to Tennessee. Well, since I am HIGHLY unplugged where I go, as soon as I got a cell signal I called my bank because I like to stay on top of my finances. I WAS OVER 500 BUCKS SHORT!!! I was like ? I call my gf, and no answer. I try several more times, and no answer. So now I am under assumption that everything got stolen, so I call my bank and cancel ALL cards to my account.

Several hours go by and I call my gf again. This time, she answers. My first words out of my mouth..."Why am I short 500?" "Well, I went out." Me - "Where?" Her - "Lollipops" (strip club in Daytona). At this point, I am now furious, 700 miles away from my place and only 100 bucks left in my account. Long story short - she payed me everything back, and I no longer have a gf. Though she still needs to stay with me until she gets her job here in Orlando and can stand on her own 2 feet (I will not have anyone on the street).

As for the Bonneville - it never got fixed. And for the stuff I wanted back from that guy, well, he said his car got stolen and everything was in the car...which it isn't anymore. I am so effen pi$$ed. It'* back at the old apartment right now, I am trying so hard to figure out how I can get it over here.

Moral of the story: Don't be too trusting. A generation ago, this quality wasn't a bad thing, but nowadays it just doesn't pay.

I'm sorry to hear that. It seems sometimes we must learn our lessons the hard way. Well, at least she paid you back.

I must say that its incredibly honorable that youre allowing her to still live with her even after all that. Definite kudos for that. She should be very very grateful that you didnt just kick her to the curb.

But hey like Higheremotions said, at least she paid you back

Nah, thank god all the parts are still there. I took inventory on that when I got home a few days ago. Which reminds me...I need to get an engine stand back to a certain someone

When I got home and "discussed" things, she understands there is no more "us". When my son leaves Thursday, we will be in separate rooms, she will basically just pay for food to allow her to save. If she hadn't done what she did, things would still be on track, but since she quit her job to move to Orlando, not only would she be jobless but also homeless, and I can't have that on my conscious. Once the dough rolls in, she'* out...and whatever happens after that, it'* on her. I can afford to live in Orlando on my own, though the Bonnie might suffer some

She rolled you once.... Shame on her. If she rolls you again, shame on you. Personally, there is nothing worse than a thief. As for Mr. Mechanic. You paid him, now he pays you. Get that worthless sonuvabitch to hold up on his end. It'* not your fault that his payment got stolen AFTER he recieved it. He OWES you. Get what you are OWED. It'* like consigning for a shipment. He took it off your hands as payment in advance. No warranty expressed or implied. It got stolen from his posession, tough ****. That'* his problem now, not yours.

Calll the cops and find out if he reported his car as stolen. When it turns out he didn't, which I will almost guarantee, ask the cops to accompany you to his shop. Do you have witnesses that you gave him this stuff, and receipts or some kind of record of owning it, like serial#*?
If you do, you can hit him with theft by deception.
I'm serious, if you have records/serial #* for that stuff, call the cops right NOW.
