Default "Heavy" door

This problem is not on my Bonny, but I was hoping someone might have an idea on its cause... the driver'* door on my '96 Dodge Avenger (currently for sale) is VERY hard to open. It acts like it'* extremely HEAVY, and has gotten worse lately. There'* nothing obvious stuck in either of the two hinges, and I've tried a silicone lube with no luck. Any ideas on how to loosen that baby up? TIA -

Hmm, have you or can you take it off the hinges, or loosen the bolts up and clean them up, maybe see if something is stuck, but hidden

Just loosening and re-tightenig the hinge-bolts might take care of this.
Forget silicone though, the best thing for hinges is graphite.

BTW my brother has a '96 Avenger, what trim package is your'*, and have you done any mods?

Thanks for the tips... I'll give 'em a try. My Avenger is not an ES, and no mods other than an aftermarket CD player. Nothin' fancy, although it did come stock with the 5-star alloy wheels and not the Lee Press-on hubcaps.

It'* for sale too, if you know anyone interested in Illinois... see http://dodge.nu3.net.
