Is there a DJ in the Lounge?

Pulled from the manual:

HARDWARE Tab for Setting up Sound card

Soundcard Settings will vary depending on what type of Soundcard you have and which mixer you are using. Whether it be PCDJ’* built in Software Mixer, or an External DJ Mixer, or using the generic Single Channel Soundcard that came with your computer or the Multichannel Soundcard you purchased from Visiosonic.

If you are not sure what type of sound card is installed in your PC or have not purchased a professional sound card from Visiosonic, You are most likely to have a generic single output sound card that does not allow for Cueing (Pre-listening) of your mix. If you have only one sound card with one single stereo out, no changes are required. PCDJ Software should have already set itself to use the default sound card. The output of both Player “1” and Player “2”, CueMix, Metronome and Loop Editor go to the single output channel of your sound card. This setting is basically for hobby use only, as you cannot achieve true stereo separation and will not be able to cue up your mix using only one sound card. You may proceed to the Interface section.

I guess it is saying that unless you have a multichannel soundcard you can only route the both channels to only one. I have an M-Audio studiophile 2496 which was only about $100 and its got a stereo pair out and a stereo pair in as well as midi and SPDIF (Digital inputs) You may want to try and upgrade your current audio card if you havent already.

GOod luck!!

Do you have both USB ports hooked up to your PC? If so, try only using one and use the CFG button to make changes. You may only need to use one USB port.

So i take it you DJ too then?
I used to a long time ago. I started out as a rodie for this guy, then got my own gig at a dive bar then had my son in 94 and thats when I got into buying studio gear and started my own home recording studio. I used to make demos for bands and go to open mike nights and aproach people who might have thought about recording a demo. I did that for like 3 years until I had to get a real job and get a more steady paycheck. I split with my sons mother, had to sell all my gear and now 6 somewhat years later, built my studio back up but more for home projects, not for hire.

Yeah I used to DJ LOL
