Default Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas

I think I can safely say I have had the month from hell.

Okay here we go. My in-laws showed up here on August 5th, and set up their fifth wheel on my front lawn. Which is just fine, that is where it supposed to go. Now how long do you think they stayed for :?: On August 22nd, I had to go away for a course 2 hours away from home, and they were still here. On August 23rd, they headed out with the two kids because we had to go to a surprise retirement party for MY mother, which was another 2 hours from where my course was. So I take my course for two days (it was not over), I drive another 2 hours, so now I am four hours away from home, and I go to this surprise party for MY mom. It went great (remind me to tell you the Wal-Mart story sometime), and she was very very surprised! Keep in mind that my course is not done, and I have all of my stuff crammed into my truck. My in-laws are also at this party, after the party on Sunday, I head back to where the course is taking place.

I attend my course for 3 more days, and after the course is done, I meet up with MY parents who have MY kids, and I take Andrew from them, I can't both the kids because I don't have enough room, because of all my stuff, remember the cramming. So after seven days of not being at home, I arrive, and who do have sitting on my front lawn again.......My in-laws who have with them O'Neil'* grumpy old grandmother, who comments on everything I do wrong Now you would think this would be the end of it, YEAH RIGHT! My parents rolled in about an hour after me. So at this point my lawn looks like an RV park. Then yesterday, my brother in law and my little nephew arrive, and an hour after that O'Neil'* two aunts arrive and now it looks like a used car dealership here.
By now you are asking yourself why is everyone there, well we are celebrating Thanksgiving, because my father is having surgery at that time, and we are also celebrating Christmas, because we are going to Arizona for Christmas. MY parents are leaving on Tuesday after noon, but my in laws are staying until September 11th

Oh I should mention that school starts on September 4th, and I go back to work on September 5th.

I am going to need a vacation soon.

It seems that everyone is a Nomad these days, chasing the sun and warmth (and family) from season to season.

.....not a bad life........if you don't mind living in a trailer.

We are going to Yuma for Christmas, then off to Disneyland for New Years Eve. So we are celebrating everything all at once.

That is sooo freaky, Nichole.

That was the plan we were actually thinking about to take my mind off getting laid off.

You must have liked Disneyland cause you were just there last year weren't you?

We wanted to check out Yuma cause when I turn 55 in a couple of years we were considering buying a mobile home there for the snowbird thing.

I am probably going to drive there, take the full two weeks while school is out......cause we never want to leave our kids home alone again
PM me your plans and maybe we could hook up there for a bit. Always great to have good company to share a meal.
