Camera?
I'm in the market for a new digital camera. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on whats reasonably priced and good quality. My friend has a Canon Powershot G2, seems like a really nice camera. Not looking for anything outrageous.

Simple. Keep in mind that I work for hp while I tell you this:
I shopped for 2 years before I settled on one. As far as electronics and optics (I work with lasers) are concerned, nobody can beat Sony. Period. Bang for the buck, quality, and features for the price. Nytro will tell you the same. 3 of my friends have the same Cybershot I do, because they were so impressed.
Don't settle for a camera that has only a digitial zoom. You want one with at LEAST 2x optical and some digital. My Cybershot (sony) has a 3x optical and 2x digital for a total of 6x......and has a standard threaded mount for filters/lenses. Does Mpeg video, too.

I bought my digi cam like more than a year ago before they started to get popular.. Its by Fujifilm its a FinePix 2300 with 2.1 Mega Pixels. It'* not as advanced as they come now..but it sure as hell makes clear nice pics for me, so im happy.

The problem with digital cameras like all high tech items, is that what is the best today is obsolete tomorrow. I've got a Olympus D-360L that takes great pic. with only 1.3 megapixels. Go with one with 3.2 megapix or better and at least 3X optical zoom.
