Default Progressive TripSense?

Anyone heard of this thing?
I was looking up quotes on their site and I saw 5% discount with TripSense. Read a little into it and its a "chip" that plugs into your diagnostic port and records your driving. It records how many miles you drive and when you drive, if you drive low miles during "low risk" periods you get a bigger discount at renewal.
It seems a little "big brotherish" to me. What other kind of info could it be getting from my car besides miles and time...
Is it worth the 5% discount up front, and possible 20ish% at renewal?

Do they say how long it gets plugged in for?
I imagine it used the OBDII port which is where my Aeroforce will be going.

well, its a good idea if you never speed drive eratically etc, but i can imagine that just one WOT run for example could hurt you. i dunno, doesnt sound like much fun to me

what newer cars would have that? and why the hell would they?

i dont really like this trip sense thing...because triple digits are fun on secluded roads.

meh, rather pay more and have them not know.
