LOL at the stealership
So I bring my car in right. to get an estimate, while I'm in a sales guy interrups me and says they will give me $5000 trade in on my car, which right now is worth maybe $2000 with the damage, however I need to pay $11995 for a 98 Regal GS with 77,000 miles.
Well, lets see, Its 5 years newer, slower and a few less miles and I am supposed to pay $12000 for a 98 regal LOL.
so what do I do?
go to his computer, pull up ebay completed items and point the computer towards this auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buick...QQcmdZViewItem
and several others, that car has lower miles and is 4 years newer and it went for 8 grand lol. I told him look, you give me $5000 for my bonneville and sell me the regal gs for 8 grand, and we have a deal.
His response.
"Come back when you are ready to buy a car"
lol.
It was a nice regal though, turned the traction control button off and lit them up in the dealer parking lot on the way out.

OMG! The SAME thing happened to me when I was looking at a GS. I got turned down by some retard at a Buick stealership. They wanted 10k for a '99 GS with 110k miles. I tried to talk them down, and they were like, well, maybe you should be looking at something more simple, maybe a Grand Prix, oh, and we have this nice Bonneville for sale! They wanted 9k for a '97 SLE! GOODBYE!

I went to a stealership today to look at a Camaro and didn't even get any attention from the salesman. There'* only one that works there that ever comes to talk to me and always wants me to trade my car in.

If you haven't been goaded, ignored, or rejected by a salesperson.... you aren't trying hard enough.
"You're obviously not man enough to be a sucker and pay too much for this car."
Somehow their logic evades me.

the best one i ever heard concerning a stealership was in regards to the great musician ronnie hawkins.( those over 40 should know him...those under...ask!)
anyhow back in the 60'* when he was on his way up he went into the rolls-royce dealership in toronto to look at a rolls. if you do know "the hawk", he hasn't changed his style of dress or mannerisms, which are between biker and hillbilly...or a combination of both! needless to say the salesman couldn't thro him out fast enough.
he said he was so mad that altho he had no intention of buying the car he went to the bank got the money in cash...in a paper bag.... and went back. he poured the money over the hood of the rolls and told the owner/ manager..."i'll take it right here, right now provided(pointing to the salesman who had dissed him so bad) his *** is fired!
as you can guess, ronnie got the rolls and the salesman got the boot.
i had the honour of meeting him a few years ago and asked him if that was just a yarn or if it was true. he swore it was 100% true and wished he had the money now just to do it all over again!
