Default Honda Civic advice

Anybody know much about Honda Civics? My wife and I are in a pickle. We're at the point where we're watching for a "newer" car. Not a fender flapper, but not something brand new. Musts: fuel economy, reliability, and durability.

We've been looking at the Honda Civics. 2004 and older with low miles. Seem affordable, and from what I can tell they have an excellent reliability factor.

We came across a 2004 Civic four door, automatic, a/c, cruise, CD, black ext., and gray interior. $9,900. 20,000 miles. Seems like a great price. I'm just a little gun-sky, I guess.

BTW, the Bonnie isn't going anywhere. It'll be my daily driver. She'* got 150K, however.

You guys remember my red 91 Civic DX? Well over a 1/4 million miles, and still kicking for the new owner.

They're not TOUGH, but they're reliable when not abused. They're not really easy to work on. Quite cramped in comparison to the Bvilles, but not impossible.
