The reason for "lack of advertisment of the Bonneville" is due to it'* demise after 2003 by GM Canada. Look at the 2004 GP & you'll see why! It'* half Bonneville by design now! As for GM USA, well I haven't heard anything yet from them.

Canada or USA, they need to start to heat up the design and new competition with the other car companies, I agree too much look alike in their own lines...lets get creative and stop being lazy....

That works nice in theory BUT, Gov't regulations say that all car models have to meat certain restrictions/emissions. This and the fact that the Imports are getting made cheaper & cheaper every year, most Domestic Manufacturers are now being forced to slim-line their models to concentrate on the Imports & try to gain back their share of this car market. I didn't say this is right, but it is what'* going on. The more & more Gov'ts stick their noses where they don't belong, the more the general public is going to suffer! this applies to alot more things too than just automoblies. That'* my $0.02

I agree that the Govmt. tries to reg. everything they can get their hands on, what I ment was that I believe is time to get new designs on our Bonneville to make it be one on its own an not getting compared to a look alike....perfect example when GM brought back the Impala with its new mean slick line it was an still is a hot item, until they re-design it and now it looks like a corsica with hormones... I know that GM has a great design department just is time to get creative and inspire....

Ok guys..i'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree on the Bonne and GP lookin too much alike. Yeah..maybe a damn picture makes them look similar but will you please look at some close ups of the cars?? I think they have alot of completely different specs to 'em. When all of these cars hit the roads..i don't think there'* gonna be any problems separating them..especially when you hear the roar of the V8 Bonne comin' at ya Another thing..the headlights on the GP and Bonne'* are COMPLETELY different..the gp'* headlight'* are pointy and smaller while the bonn'* are the same as the 03'*..bigger. Some of you i think are just looking at the whole entire cars and bitching cuz they look similar...yeah if u look at ALOT of cars as a whole they can look similar. Do some more investigating please..and the GXP lineup is bad ***. By the way..maybe 4 or 5 years ago i remember they always played an SSEi bonneville comercial during football games and basketball games for a while. It was where this bonne is cruisin around really damn fast ..bla bla..then they show specs of the interior...then they zoom out one more time to show the car fly by and all u see is the back of it zoomin away. Then Luxury With Attitude flashes up..bla bla. One more thing..about 2 months ago i watched a movie with my family and one of the main cars in it was a black 95 SSEi bonne..it looked soo slick. It was great staring at it in a movie..doesn't happen often..as noted earlier. Ok i'm done rambling. -Peace

Alien..

Yea.. I"ve been searchin the net for the Bonnie Commercial ( video ) but no luck so far.. what movie was it with the bonnie ?

Well.. my 2 cents is this. True that the new GP and Bonnie GXP don't look alike if we LOOK CLOSER at it.. but we're not going to be able to look too close when we're flyin by them or they kickin our *** in warp speed that we can distinguish them apart at a glance. Kinda like a Grand Ma and Grand *****.. you can't really distinguish them unless you stare at it ( I personally tell through the size of the trunk .. hahaha.. ) So unless you hunt and stalk them.. there'* no way you can really tell them apart. Whereas you look at the 96+ tail end.. it has the unique tailights and looks even more unique when they eyebrow style tailights are lit up.. you can see that from a far distance along with the Cram ALA Cream SSEI ( some SSE'* ) front placement of the foglights that you can tell from a mile away heading at you ( being sarcastic about the mile.. but you know what I mean ). Things like that that you can distinguish the Bonnie from a distance without having to sit there with a magnifying glass to see what car just flew threw the intersection.. was it a GP or a Bonnie kinda thing. I also don't like the new front grill ( snout ) of the new Bonnie GXP as it looks too much like a 92 Grand Am style front nose.
Just me two fitty...

Default poop

its weird with people and cars... only a ture car person will distinguish the cars on the road, other people don't care as long as the car looks "pretty". EX: i just got a 97 Riviera Superchged .... and i've had people call it a toyota (farm girl), and regal! (some guy who only like Lexus) EEWWWWWW! this isn't a good example really cuz the regal shares the same frame as the Century 4dr only, ANYWAY. a RIV Stands out. so that example only shows stupid people decided to comment on my car to me...."idiots"....... so i think with those people you could put an Aztec and Bonnie in front of there face and they would know their head from their ***. yer gonna have people like, but lets hope (for us car people) they will have their own disingushable features that are more obvious. i just started rambling .. sorry

Maybe I should restate my main point again.....
The Bonneville is no longer being made by Pontiac after 2003!
This is why the 2004 GP looks like it does. It'* styling is based upon the 2003 Bonnevilles. In 2006, GM will offer the GXP V8 GP as per the original hype given around the Bonneville GXP. GM has decided to combine the Bonneville & Grand Prix into one car line now!
