Guy Cars vs. Gal'* Cars
Soo while I was listening to the radio (93.7 The Bull) on Thursday morning on my way to school, Mason & Remy started talking about what makes a male car & what makes a female car. Mason was making fun of Remy because he thinks Remy drives a girl car, a VW Rabbit that got voted the cutest car of 2008
I personally didn't think they made the Rabbit anymore but apparently I was wrong, IMO that looks exactly like the Golf but whatever I guess they are the same car but anyway back to the story. Remy, in his defense, said that the Rabbit was the masculine version of the VW Beetle so Mason had people call in to help describe what the difference between guy & girl cars are. Well while Mason was talking to a caller about it all, he said that he owes a Monte Carlo (woo hooo!!!) & then they started talking about how the Monte Carlo was a guy car idk what year he was talking about though. But everyone said that the Rabbit was a female car. I was gonna call in but I didn't know the number, they kept saying it too fast!
Soo anyway, people kept saying all of these different characteristics between male & female cars. So my question is...
What makes a guy car & what makes a girl car????
It'll be interesting to see everyone'* opinions. I'll post mine after a few people answer So who is first
Here are couple fun/interesting articles about the whole ordeal...

Not trying to sound sexist (although I may by accident), but to me a girl car usually has less power. Many people will agree with me on this (even many girls will), but girls for the most part can't drive too well. I apologize if that sounds harsh and wrong but it'* my view and many others views. . I'm not saying that ALL girls cannot drive. Something like a VW Beetle is definitely a girl car. 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 in white is definitely a girl car. But the 3.5 model is more of a guy car. To me, the more cars I see with girls driving, I consider them girl cars. Also, smaller cars are usually considered girl cars. Sorry if I'm coming off as an a-hole or a jerk.

I always thought small compact cars were girl cars, while the big boats were driven by the guys.

Your Monte is a guy car. Why? It'* got the SC V6 in it, and it'* got Dale stuff all over it. That'* mainly considered a guy car. The Monte with the 4cyl is a girl car. Camaro V6 - girl car. Camaro SS/Z28 - dude car.

IMO - I have no opinion! I say you drive what you like and until cars start humping each other on the road in Spring, there are no guys or gals cars!
However, I will never be caught driving a Beetle or a Miata!

I thought the girls' car usually are small and peppy.... and sometimes have fake flowers on the dash (VW bug). A car I liked but would not buy because it is a chick car is a Acura RSX- based on a civic, very dependable, great mileage and a sporty drive.

I'm with Dan.
Also, I would like to think my car is female considering the time we spend together and things we do. I just hope Chris Hansen doesn't find out she'* only 7 years old...

I don't think there are girl cars or guy cars. Personally, I have a PT Cruiser in my stable, which some consider a chick car. But when you consider its a stick, Inferno Red, has lots of mods, loud duals, lowered, it ain't. Although, same car in purple, or yellow, yeah, more of a chick car.
I think the color has more to do with it than the car itself.
Only car I can personally think of when someone says "chick car", is the Beetle, especially the cabrio.
No different than calling Buicks "old man cars".
I know plenty of women that drive F250s, a few Trailblazer SS, and one I work with has a few interesting rides, one of her usuals if its nice out is a mid 60s Ford Galaxie. White, roll bar, slotted mags, duals, and all the guys at work drool over it when she drives it to work. Conversely, I know a guy that usually drives an Aveo, but on nice days, he shows up on his Harley Soft Tail. Another drives a white avenger or something like that, but on nice days he roars in on his Night Train.
Bottom line, if you like it.. buy it. If someone else doesn't like it, tell em they don't have to drive it! Then make it faster than whatever they happen to own, and blow their doors off in front of their friends for added effect!
