As far as guitarists go, SRV had so much feeling in his playing. He didn't have the shred chops of Malmsteen, Vai, Satriani, or a bunch of the other 80'* hair metal guitarists, but he had tons of soul. My personal favorite guitarist is Tom Morello, just because he plays with a huge amount of passion and intensity. Technique is great, but it does very little for you if you don't feel the song.

Hi,
Thanks for checking out the Resin site, Ben. Yes, I'll be sure to link a myspace site for the new material to the Resin myspace page.
I don't have a band right now, so I'm recording all the instruments myself, don't expect much!
I am struggeling with having the vocals recorded properly:
A) I can't sing worth a damn.
B) I can't get the levels loud enough. I'll figure out something...
Good call on the Tom Morello. That guy has some crazy techniques!
As far as guitar player'* with feeling and soul, I'm surprised we haven't mentioned David Gilmour yet? Now that guy has some emotion in his playing!

No particular 'favorite', but here are a few of mine in no particular order:
Peter Frampton
Tom Morello
Carlos Santana
Jimmi Hendrix
Joe Satriani
Kurt Cobain
Eric Clapton
Anyone notice the rising stars Avenged Sevenfold'* guitarist'*: Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance? Together they are killer duo with guitars.
