Default FS: 1978 Chevrolet Corvette 25th Anniv.

My dad is looking to sell his 1978 Corvette to move onto something newer and more muscle-y. This car is absolutely mint. He has owned it since I was 6 years old (17 years). It is an excellent survivor, never needed a major restoration. It was repainted at one point, changed from the original Metallic Brown to Silver Beige. This car sees very few kms per year and has been babied by an adult owner its entire life, never beat on, quite original for the most part.

Here are the details:
1978 Chevrolet Corvette, Silver Anniversary
350 cu. in. L-48
Automatic (GM TH350)
Dynomax exhuast
Silver-Beige exterior (1982 Corvette colour)
Medium Brown interior
Minor engine bay detailing (chrome accents)
1982 Corvette rims w/ BF Goodrich Radial T/A 245/60 R15s
upgraded speakers (still tucked under stock grilles, looks original)
PS/PB/PW
Tilt/Telescopic steering wheel
only 102,000 original miles

Car has had numerous components replaced recently (brakes, front end pieces, etc) and needs nothing. An excellent driver, must be seen to truly appreciate.

PM me or reply here and I can provide the necessary contact info.

CAR IS LOCATED IN HIGH RIVER, AB, Canada. I'm in Germany right now just trying to help him sell.

Asking $17,450 (CAD)

Price seems a bit high from what I'm used to seeing out of the C3'* of that era.

C3'* and C4'* (especially with 100k) don't go for much, unless they've got something very special factory on them.

Are you doing the conversion correctly tho it works out to 15,800 and change But its not like a few years ago when the CAD $ was worthless

Yeah, it isn't very appealing to people in the US, I know. Problem is now that the currencies are closer (thank you Mr. Bush), the prices/markets haven't adjusted to follow suit. Thus why he will probably get this much for the car, and why a nice 92-99 SSEi can easily fetch 7-9k CAD.

ya but the price diff between 92 and 99 ssei is quite a gap too... a nice 99 ssei will fetch 7+k while a nice 93 will only bring 2.5-3k.....

the vette is realy nice not saying anything bad about it at all... its a work of art!!!

but yes the price is a little far fetched.. but i dont know what prices look like north of the boarder... i know my neighbor sold his 79 orig numbers with under 100k think it was like 89k somewhere round there but he only got like 7900 outa it... he said he could got more with more advertisment but.. i think he got average market value outa the car...

but your best bet would be to put it on the vette boards, the old skool muscle board.. theres many more just like that.. where the ppl are looking for THAT car... when someone is loookin for a mid to late 70 vette they will pay more for it then someone just looking for an older muscle car...

but good luck on the sale!!! its a dream ride thats for sure!! anyways you can get more pics for us vette freaks on the board??? int, motor, ya know... thanks and good luck!
