Default Car troubles come at the worst times!

Well, from what it seems, it'* one of the easier problems that could have come about. It'* still a pain in the ***, as I'm getting on a flight on Wednesday, and I don't have any trustworthy mechanics in the area. So, anyways, I guess I should give this a shot myself, given the circumstances. What do you think?

here'* some pictures of what I'm dealing with...

short of replacing the hose, get yourself a chunk of rubber hose (about the same diameter) and some hose clamps or in a pinch, wire ties, from a parts store. Slit the rubber hose lengthwise, place over bad spot, and hose clamp it.

I know here they sell a wrap that you shrink over the hole and it works fairly well. Kinda like heat shrink but it looks like tape.

Follow the lines back to the engine, Remove the unbroken one from the engine. Cut the broken one and loop it to the port of the good hose you just disconnected.

its just a heater hose, not really needed when its 100 degrees out and fairly safe to run like this until you get it repaired. Don't wait on the repair thou, your coolant is also a rust inhibator....

Yea. That'* a good idea, but I'm getting it fixed tomorrow morning. Heh, I might as well just do that anyways, I've used my heater maybe once in my life.
