I downloaded a different one, but didn't care for it, only searched one section. I want tools and auto parts. And it didn't have a place to input a search string.

And here comes Windows 7 out of the gate. Looks like a contender for Dell and MS @ $99...... Just when you thought the game was predictable.

I actually thought about getting a windows phone, but considering how stable my computer is, not sure if I want my phone going blue screen on me. The app market is a bit smaller. I see droid taking control of the market. Google has a lot of cash to throw around, and the apps are great. Iphones are a great phone, but still fall in to the very same problem the Macs and Ipads have, control by the Ipolice. Windows phone will get a good market, but unless they can make it stable it wont take over. however, if they do, and it can wirelessly connect to your home network and interact with your computer, and act as a extension of your home network, then it will be big. I see a lot of potential, and give them a 50/50 chance of doing it right. The other 50 is throwing a ton of money at it and doing it wrong.

Hey! I like my Backflip actually. But then, I've never had a real smart phone before.
AT&T just put up cell service in this area. Literally, before March of this year, a 30 mile radius around my house (some places even farther) were cell coverage dead. I had Verizon before on a family plan. But no sense having a phone that I could only use at work, then loses all signal as soon as I leave.
So when I signed up for AT&T, I got what was the then "new" android OS phone, the only one they had. I actually got one of the first Backflips out of the new local AT&T store. No problems with it, and the apps I have are great.
So, other than that, how exactly did AT&T handicap it?

And is there a better option from AT&T now? Because they are still the only carrier with coverage here. Verizon doesn't care, so AT&T has the market here cornered. The only thing I've found that I don't like with the phone is the lack of multi touch support. Having the keyboard is great. I hate touch screen keyboards.

Like the Android phones but not the pricetag of having the data plan (which is required on Verizon). I had a Windows Mobile phone for a while and got tired of the monthly bill with it. Can't switch to anyone else either because of the service at my house.

Dan..I found another good app through a buddy.

KeyRing - it takes all your little cards on your key ring and stores them on the phone. No more little cards for me.

Especially helpful when you have three different sets of keys based on which car you drive. I don't like a large keyring and therefore keep them all seperate.
