Oh crud, I was just there too. Yes, it comes with gas but you can use gassless flux wire as well. I was mainly looking at welding carts and auto darking masks.

I have a Harbor Freight autodimmer that works well for what I do with it. Was thinking about making a cart for myself with the welder. But then that'* another item that doesn't fit on a shelf. Floor space is becoming a premium priced commoditiy.

Thought about making my own cart as well, but they only cost $50. I looked at those helmets too, but Menards have nice ones for about $39. I might go back again today, I'm making a cat scratching post and might needs supplies. I'll look at the brand then.

I sort of, kind of, ended up with my buddy'* Miller MIG and CO2/Argon tank since he moved downtown and has no space for it. It definitely opens up possibilities.
Home depot angle iron + chop saw + MIG =

Gas shielded makes welding things easier IMO. Plus it'* stronger with good metal prep and an uncontaminated weld.

X2. Mine uses either argon or the fluxwire. And the argon makes it all alot easier.

Just picked me up a welding cart and a autodarking mask. Now I need to go out and put it together.
