Default Good ol' Hillary...

lol, i really get a kick outta this:

"May 24, 2006 -- WASHINGTON - In a surprise move yesterday, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton called for "most of the country" to return to a speed limit of 55 mph in an effort to slash fuel consumption.

"The 55-mile speed limit really does lower gas usage. And wherever it can be required, and the people will accept it, we ought to do it," Clinton said at the National Press Club.

Before sounding off on the benefits of a lower speed limit, Clinton called for a combination of tax incentives, the use of more ethanol-based fuel and a $50 billion fund for new energy research to cut the consumption of foreign oil 50 percent by 2025.

She also pushed for half of all the nation'* gas stations to have ethanol pumps by 2015, and for every gas station to have them by 2025."

Yes, making people go 55mph instead of 60-70 is REALLY going to help. As long as it is a consistant speed, people get the same mpg that they would at 55 that they would at 60 or 70. That'* why cars get better MPG on the highway. Shows what she knows on this subject

Actually, highway milage is rated at 55 mph. So I agree with her on that topic. My dad'* durango turns 1500 at 55 and about 1800 at 65.

see, I can't see a difference from 60 to 70mph, but I can in our Suburban or my Explorer, harder to keep them at those speeds. The whole Idea is stupid IMO...

There'* only two reasons Hillary opens her mouth. One is vulgar and can't be spoken here.

The other is so people will notice her for the election.

I think this should be locked before it gets blown out of proportion and people start hating each other.
