How about the base engine in the Bonneville prior to 1987? What about the GN? But those were commonly called the 3.8, not the 3800.

I think I got my mind set on the 3800. Maybe even a L67. (surprise project)

Surprise project?

You know how different the L67 FWD motor is compared to the L36 RWD in the F bodies? VERY different.

Not to mention the difficulties in routing the intake, considering the inlet on the */c would be facing towards the firewall. Add the throttle body on there and there'* a good chance you wouldn't have room for an intake (at least not one without a significant restriction). Plus there'* the exhaust manifolds, the location of the motor mounts, the list goes on.

If it'* in your truck, you're just better off building up that 350 (although I thought it was already really hot?)...much cheaper and more potential, IMO.

Oh, the 350 is hot, and is definitely going in the truck. I'm just thinking. Probably wasting my time, but just thinking.
