Rumor has it my son ran off and got married. Still waiting for the putz to answer his messages, but it sounds like he might have gotten himself a "marriage of convenience". Lots of military folks do that in order to get the extra money (housing and food allowances) and to get out of the barracks.

His mom is freakin' out! I am waiting for more info before I kick into full Dad mode.

New a guy who did that when he was in the 82nd Airborne, he even wrote up an agreement with his wife-to-be, that it would just be a "marriage of convenience" and as soon as he was done with the army they would go there sperate ways. Hes been out of the army for 10 years now and they're still happily married with three beautifull children.


Regardless of if it'* a good thing or not, they look like they make a good couple. Although he needs a haircut in that pic :P I'm sure it'* a bit shorter now

I don't know if it'* a good thing or a bad thing. But, considering he'* probably only known her for a couple of months, it'll be a "are you sure you know what you're doing" thing...

Definitely a "you couldn't even give me a heads up?" thing....

But, I know he'* a good kid. Pretty freakin' smart. And, he'* old enough to make his own decisions. I got faith in him, so I just gotta wait til he gets in touch and actually explains what'* going on....

That may be, but like you mentioned, it'd be hard to prove otherwise (We need proof the marriage has been consumated).
