Going to Michigan this week...
Going to Upper michigan to do some snowboarding/skiing this week. Heading up wed, and then staying at Indianhead ski area I think.
Any Michy people have any recommendations? I know most of the members are from lower michy, but just throwing it out there.

Yeah, that about sums it up.
If you are intermediate to advanced skier you will enjoy it. Like the site says, there is noting like it unless you go to a region of the country with actual mountains.
I didn't go to the extreme back country part, it is for advanced people only. There are cliffs and stuff back there. I think they make you sign a liability wavier and an aknowledgement of rescue time for that part also...
I went my sophmore year and was probably borderline good enough for it (toward intermediate skill). Some of the single blacks were fun and some were pushing my limits. I should have gone back my senior year when I was better and getting bored of Mont Ripley. I have never been to (or heard of) Indianhead so I can't compare it to there.

I learned to ski out west, @ Pomerelle in Southern Idaho. I've also been to Mt Hood, Sun Valley, and a few others i can't remember off the top of my head.
Skiing in MN sucks
Sounds like a cool place, i'll send my dad the link, but i think we've got a package with lift tickets and our condo that covers every day we're there.
