my crazy saturday
OK, so my uncle'* Subaru had been messing up again. Subarus are good cars, but the dealer keeps messing it up. There is a vibration coming from the rear end. He brought it up the first time (about 3 months ago) and they changed the rear wheel bearings. Nothing. So he brought it up again 2 weeks ago. They said they'd replace the rear end, but he'd have to bring it back down in a week. Now keep in mind this is a 150mile round trip to Augusta and back. So Saturday he brought it back up there. They did not have his appointment wrote down, nor did they have the part ordered. So he told them he wanted to trade it. His is a 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon. He told them he wanted and STi, which is an upgrade from the WRX. They only had 2, and one was sold, the only other one was on the showroom, and they wouldn't let him test drive it. They BBd the car for the h*ll of it, and it came up $18000 for a car that isn't a year old. Crazy, huh? So, we drove down the road to this HUGE GM/Chrysler dealer. First we looked at a blue Monte Carlo. Then the looked at some Chrysler Sebring convertibles, all used. So we drove to the next lot and looked at some new Monte Carlos. They didn't like those, so we drove to the Chrysler lot. My uncle found this really nice PT Cruiser. It was a carryover 2005 PT Cruiser Turbo Convertible. We drove around in it for a while, and he said he wanted that car. So they checked his credit, and after all was said and done, he was getting $6000 for his car. So we drove to a Hyundai dealer and drove a Tiburon. Awesome car. The salesman walked up to us and said "We'll give you $14000 for your car". We didn't even say anything and turned and walked away. It was a crazy day.

So the Tiburons arent too bad eh? I always wondered what kind of quality they were.
I actually like the looks of them, theres 2 or 3 around here that are pretty dang riced out, but I dont know if they are 4 bangers or the 6 cylinder...the 6 cylinder Tibby looks pretty impressive on paper though.
I had an encounter with one the other day in which the Tiburon was unsuccessful, so that makes me think it was probably a 4 cylinder.

The Tiburon we drove was a fully loaded 06 with the 6 cylinder. The inside had comfortable seats, but there was no headroom in the back. I'm under 6', and I hit my head on the back window. Very peppy car, awesome burnouts. It was stock with a Kenwood system.
