its good they have a program for that. home owners insurance was what i was talking about.

my house was the same as that one, through M&T who were not upfront with the fees to begin with. we put like 10k down and ended up paying about 1000/month, we make one payment for tax/ins/mortgage. taxes down there may not be as bad.

Taxes on that house are less than $1500 a year, and I'm betting insurance will be less than $1k. This is all the stuff we'll get into with the realtor though.

both our families are here, i thought about leaving before we had a kid, somewhere in rural PA or around lynchburg/roanoke area in VA. just because i love the mountains and the weather there but we would be by ourselves, now we got a house and a kid and were not going anywhere.
