yeah i hear you guy'*

The manager and the shop foreman both knew that the only reason i wasn't going to go to my regular dealership is because they agreed that i would be able to observe work being done. aside from that i guess I'll stick to my regular place of business. Was basically given free range while my car was in the shop just this Mechanic i guess doesnt like that oh well.. I think the other reason being is the other day while having the problem diagnosed he displayed angst against doing it maybe it'* the fact he has one arm and the normally 3 hour job was going to be 5 hours for him.

Actually the guy is probably working at a flat rate which means he gets paid by the job, not hour.

I have to agree with everyone here too, I work in a busy service department in a heavy duty truck shop..Insurance is a BIG reason why customers cannot be in the shop for an extended period of time. Plus the mechanics hate it.

The other thing is it is an insurance risk for them. That'* why customers are not usually allowed around the vehicles.

In the two instances you are allowed backk there and around are a place you used to work, and your brother'* shop. I would assume your brother would be taking responisbility for you (whether stated or not) and at the one where you used to work, they probably assume you know the deal from working there.

The other thing is that if you are taking pictures, the flash can bother the mechanic, getting in to get a good picture will bother them, and they don't want to have to wait til you get the picture to continue.

I'd say if you want it documented, then either do it yourself, or visit one of the above two places.
