Default Networking Troubles

I have a home network set up, one of my computers runs at 100Mbs, while the other is at like 3.2 Anyone know why this is or how I can fix it?

alright, well I guess a question I should of asked before is how do you know its only 3.2mb and not 10mb or 100mb in first place? if you did an internet speed test thats not gonna be close to 10mb or 100mb unless your on a t3 line, only thing I can tell ye is to do some registry editing http://www.speedguide.net/articles.php?category=93 it might possibly help ya out, networking isn't my strong point by any means I'm more a hardware kinda guy

Default well

Ok goto device manager and look at network adapters...right click your nic (network card) and goto properties.. leave it on autosense... Your internal Lan speed will be 10mbps per sec and show connected if u look at your network connections on win xp, but your highspeed connection to the internet will be 2mbps-3mbps top, Each computer uses different bandwidth depending upon what background services u have...
Also Keep in Mind.. 3 MEGABITS, not megabytes per second....
I work for a cable isp and i can assure u most customers dont get but 2-2.5 mbps top unless they uncap their modem, then they can get up to 7-8mbps down, but then a friendly phone call by me..
