Emissions
1980 GMC Sierra C25
5.7 L (350)
I received a ticket in August for operating "a motor vehicle that contravenes emissions standards" contary to "Ont. reg 361/95 under the environmental protection act 7(3)." The officer stated that i was missing an EGR valve, evaporation canister, catalytic converter and A.I.R. system. My court date is next week. The emissions sticker on my air cleaner does not say catalst on it and only calls for the A.I.R. system. I spoke to a mechanic who said all that I had to do was prove that it is the original motor and put the A.I.R. system on the vehicle and I would win the case. I am looking for more opinions.

If the A.I.R. was indeed missing when the ticket was issued, I dont see how you could "win" the case. The Judge may drop the matter if in fact that is all that is required and you have had it replaced. But that would be at His discretion.
Burrito'* last night,........ my ole lady would like to write me a few emissions infractions of her Own!.
