Default Girl cars

My fiance (sp future wife) is lookin at getting a new used car within the next couple months. She really has her mind set on a newer tiberon or something from japan. I dont know why she has such a silly little mind, she knows how I feel about her having to walk 2 blocks away to get to her car (if its jap). American I would let her park in front of the house. We had a sunfire GT, she liked it at first but got tired of it after about a year. How can I "force" her not to buy Hong Kong? She loves drivin' the bonne, she likes the power and comfort but says its to big. (and its mine and she cant have it) We are going out test driving for her. What do you think I should make her I mean suggest she try. Keep in mind shes only like 5 feet tall. So her getting me, damn. I mean her an STS is out of the question.

Kinda hard to force 'em to do anything.

My wife is only 5'2", and she drives an Astro van..

maybe gp, ga.. go to www.edmunds.com .. you can search by midsize domestic... whatever you do, don't get a cavalier. a buddy of mine lost a front tire @60 and did seven front flips, messed up his back, cut off about a 1/2 in of his tongue... i've seen quite a few of them in the junkyard, and i won't ride in one.

Anything but rice. Play the 'safety' game with her. Those cars will do nothing to protect you in an accident. Jim is on track with the VW'*, but they can be a bit pricey.

If she doesn't like the size, go with a GA. Even the Ram Air GT is very affordable.

If you have to go rice, at least get one built in the US. Honda or Toyota.

Hondas can be like VW'* spendy price tags, but not much goes wrong. GA is decent car, insurance is probably at lot less too...

We had a 96 VW Jet GL black on black and we had ZERO maintenance issues for 5.5 years, all my dad did was change the oil, rotate the tires, and basic run of mill maintenance. He gave it up when it started having front end vibration issues and he got his now gone 2000 Jet VR6.

Its worth the price tag initially to get a VW, bear in mind, the electronics can be wonky, if you can, stay away from power windows (first thing to break electronically guaranteed). The manual tranmission on those Jets/Golfs are second to none, so are the TDI'* 1000km...one tank of diesel

If she wants import go 6th gen Accord IMO, flagship Honda, nicely appointed and the V6 can boogie (evantually )

Oh and thanks for the comment Dame

my wife like the trofeo, technicly she bought it off of my parents. I drive it when she isnt, which is almost always now... because shes at home with our new baby. I take the trofeo to work so if she has to go shop in town or somthing she drives my truck (03 crew cab dually diesel with a standerd... lol.. shes ok at it but she is also only 5.3ish).

I think you should go to an auction. You can get her a really nice 2 year old luxury(bmw/cadillac/benz/volvo) car cheap. Alot of people that buy those cars dont go for the dealerships lease... they go for some one like ARI'* lease which is basicly its a 2-3 year term... and during that time the lease payments = only 10kcdn short of the car, so ''ari'' takes the car and puts it into auction to get rid of it and they might get 19kcdn back (9k profit + what ever special gm(or benz...ect) gives them).
If you know who drove the vehicle its evn better... lots of times its govornment (say minister of finace'* car) they take good care of there cars....

This weekend I was at an auction, lots of 01 DHS/ DTS/ STS'* and some 3.5L 01-02 auroras, a new 7series bmw (03), some 3series. A few 4dr jags (newish).

If your determind on going new then maybe a vr6 is where you wanna be... (dont go tdi, in kill stories under golfed a golf, I cutted down diesels into why/why not...)
