Question for fellow Ohio members.
As you know, I am still stuck with the Fiero because the seller never gave me my money back in which he promised to. So I am stuck with the car, but do have a signed title, so I am putting it in my name and turning around to sell it to get my $$ back. My problem is I called the title office and they told me in order to get a Ohio title, I had to get the car inspected because it was a out-of-state purchase? The problem is I did buy the car "non-running" and it has no cat, etc, etc. Is this just a safety inspection, or is it a actual full inspection to see if the car is road ok? It would seem to me since I bought the car "non-running", I should still be able to get a title. If I have to have it running to get it inspected, I may as well keep it then.

it is likely just a simple inspection to verify that the vin numbers match;
i had to do it a few times when i was a state inspector in NH for cars that were purchased without the title in hand (which isnt required on a car over 15yrs when sold)
