Game for the Cure
Last night here in our little town we had the Game for the Cure. Our 2 ladies hockey teams have been working on this for the month and a half, and last night it all came together. It was a charity game for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, and Jessica was part of it, and she is the youngest player on her team. She played great and it looks like well over $5000 was raised for this cause.
The Chicks wore beautiful pink jerseys, everyone in crowd wore pink ribbons. The District of Mackenzie painted a pink ribbon on the ice, some of the players even used pink hockey sticks.
Hopefully the pictures turned out and we can post them here later on.
