The New Dodge Charger
I LOVE IT!
I know there are complaints about the appropriatness of the name, and other things, but 340 horses from the 5.7 Hemi should shut them up I swear here and now that I WILL get one of those, eventually, even if it'* used 5-10 years down the road. I love the styling, the horsepower - helI, the 300 with different sheet metal I love the styling, I'm really in love Anyone else got Charger fever after seeing it in the new Motor Trend? Come on, speak up, be heard! I love my Bonnie, but this new Charger has stolen my heart :o

If the charger looked more like the late '90'* prototype, then I would be all over it. I probably would have held off buying my Bonnie and kept my old Intrepid around long enough to make it to the new charger. Everything that I have seen of it is just a remake of the 300C with the Magnum front end. Haven't seen the C&D or Motortrend shots (cause for some reason my mags haven't been getting here since we moved even though they have been informed of the new address and a mail forwarding has been implemented... grrr).
I like the charger, just not as much as I like my Bonnie.
*EDIT-- Here'* a link to some scans posted on Allpar.com:

Now that I've seen the production version of the car, I like it MUCH better than the 300C, but still not as much as my bonnie...

I like the idea and the car, but choosing the Charger name on a sedan reminds me when they stuck the name on the Omni-based compacts of the 80'*.
A Charger to me is a coupe, with a BIG BLOCK Hemi.

Now you know how I feel about the "GTO".
Not the greatest pics on that thread, so it'* hard to say what I think of the new Charger. Since I'm old and stubborn, tho, I'm sure I'll be disappointed...

True, the GTO should have been reincarnated not looking like a warmed over GP, but I think it mostly stayed true to its roots. If it had a solid rear axle and was about the same price as the new Mustang with the same LS2 power, THEN what would you think?
