And I'll remember that on my trip through Philly. I'm leaving the car down at the airport there to fly to Florida middle of May. It'* $300 cheaper, 2 round trip tickets, then to fly out of Scranton.

I don't think you can get a ticket in PA for tint if you have NY tags.Isn't tint regulated and enforced by the state?

If the cop wants to be a buttmunch, he can ticket you for it no matter where your car is from. But most cops will just let it be if they see your from out of state.

And the rolling down windows as a cop gets closer.... yeah, I do that too LOL.

Here'* an example. Im from Indiana and was up in Michigan a few years back and the cop nailed me for tint, neons, and radar detector. My tint was legal for Indiana, I had Purple neons, which are also legal in Indiana and radar detectors, well those are a toss up. But anyway... I explained that and he didnt care. He ticketed me anyway.

So watch out when your in other states too

I seriously thought that if your state ok'* it other states can't book you for it when you passing threw. I might gotta get my tint lightened up I have 15% mirror tint all around and my front windowshield 20% limo black....cops can't even see my inspection stickers at times

Aftermarket mods are not a state reciprocity item. Being from a different state doesnt get you free pass. It'* that way across the board. Just because one state allows you to do something, doesn't mean you can do it across the country. Headlight, Seat belt, cellphone, turning on red, helmet laws, riding in the back of a pickup, non OEM exterior lighting, tint, nitrous, suspension, tires extending beyond the body.... are just a few of the things I can think of that states retain control of, regardless of what your registration state rules. And most have enacted legislation that says if you enter the state, it'* your responsibility to know.

Venom is right on the money with this one. When I moved to MN from TX I had a Grand Am GT with tinted windows, 18'*, Hyperwhite headlights and front turn signals All legal in TX, barely but legal none the less. Never had a problem down there. A state trooper pulls me over and harasses me about all of the above. He said he "saw an out of town plate and had to check everything out". I walked away with just a fix-it ticket for the tint and turn signals, I proceeded to throw it out and shortly after sold the car. In my opinion an out of state plate is just a target for you
