I think my ALL TIME favorite would be DIE HARD, lots of action and a little love story in it for the chicks too. Plus it pulls triple duty as a holiday movie.

Star Ship Troopers
and the Star Trek series-except for the first one, gotta watch as a true Trekkie, but could do without it.
