I almost hit a huge buck on the way from Kato to Rock Falls. It was just getting light out, on the Wisconson side of the border. I slammed the brakes and he crossed in front me close enough to wipe the bugs off of my front bumper.

Alright guys & Tracy, thanks for all the replies. I went to the GM collision center today to show my buddy the damage. He came back with an $1153 estimate. As far as pics go, I'll try to get some tomorrow, but the damage is not really photogenic. Most of the damage is to the sub-frame for the right headlight bucket (behind grill area), support brackets, condenser/radiator support braces etc etc. Cosmetic damage is not noticeable (only to a trained eye for detail) bad as viewed from front of car, almost not apparent. So if you're looking for a totally smashed to smitherines, crooked bumpers, crumpled fenders, headlights hangin out, coolant spewing on the ground, A/C refrigerant depressurization and all those types of things, then I can't provide you with pics because looking at the car you'd barely bea able to tell it played hockey with a deer.

Hope they get your bonne back in shape soon, at least you weren't hurt.
Deer encounters are one of my biggest fears for my morning commutes. There'* a mile strecth where many times a deeror moose have jumped out at me last minute, I always drive through there a little under the speed limit.
One time at 3:30 in the morning last winter in a snow storm I was going to work and had to hit the E brake to 180 the car just to keep from plowing into 4 deer standing in the middle of the road.

Well, it'* a testament to the strenght & toughness of these Bonnevilles. I hate to see my insurance premium too! With the force of the impact, I was expecting more physical damage to the front bumper & hood, but it was minimal.

That'* right, Tracy. Be a little extra on guard for crossing or flying deer! Don't wanna see you or my Bonne'* twin getting hurt. I'll have the car restored to normal hopefully soon.
